Cleaning with a copper cloth or a solution of baking soda, lemon & vinegar will also clean the copper (& it won’t leave a vinegar smell). If you are prone to discoloration due to certain metals it may be coated with a clear polish, though it is not necessary as the copper will vary in color daily due to its natural nature.
